Cookie policy
What Burly stores in your browser: a session, a device identifier, your preferences, and optional analytics.
Last updated 3 Oct 2026
1. What we store
- A session cookie (app_session). It keeps you signed in after you sign a message with your wallet. It is essential, HTTP-only and lasts up to 30 days.
- Your theme choice, kept in your browser's local storage so the page does not flash the wrong colours.
- Your answer to the cookie notice, your last-used wallet, the account and the market you last looked at (also as the cookies app_account and app_market, each kept for a year) and any announcement you dismissed, also in local storage.
- A device identifier (app_did): a random value set when you sign in, HTTP-only, kept for up to two years and recorded with each sign-in. It is essential: it is how we detect several profiles used from one browser, which the rules forbid. It is not used for advertising or analytics and is not shared.
2. Referral
If you arrive through an affiliate's link, a referral cookie (app_ref) remembers that link for 30 days so the affiliate can be credited and you can receive the buyer discount.
3. Analytics is optional
Analytics loads only if you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie notice. If you choose "Essential only", nothing beyond the items above is stored. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
4. Changing your mind
Clear this site's data in your browser and the notice appears again on your next visit.
